This is our Blog with photo and video updates on our Yorkie babies in their new homes! Whenever someone sends me a new picture, I put them on the Blog. This blog is basically an exact copy of the one that is on our website, just hosted by different servers.
Enjoy! Please take a look around and leave your comments! : )
More About Me
Since I end up telling everyone this anyway, I might as well put it online for the world to see. haha
I am Sarah Henery, manager of Yorkies of Walnut Hill. My parents, John and Laquita have been breeding and raising Yorkies for years. I went on my own path for a while, got my Master’s degree in Public Administration, and spent some time working for the State of Missouri as a Performance Analyst in the Department of Transportation.
In July of 2008 I gave birth to my second child. Our second child was born with some medical issues, and I decided not to go back to work. I still needed something to keep my mind busy and give me some contact with the outside world, so my mom suggested that I help her build a website for Yorkies of Walnut Hill.
As I started working on it, I got more and more involved in raising the puppies. I started spending every day out at my parent’s farm working with the puppies and the Adults, grooming them, training them, playing with them, and getting to know more about the breed. Now, I am working with the Yorkies full time, doing everything from registrations, breeding records, grooming, training, cleaning, advertising, and everything else! I also have my own Yorkie now, Catherine, and I am training her to be a show dog! Starting in the summer of 2009, we will be working toward her Champion title!
It has been such a joy working with the Yorkies! Certainly, I get sad when the puppies have to leave, but I take great pride in finding our puppies loving homes, and I take comfort in the fact that each of our puppies will be loved and spoiled, and I am bringing joy to the lives of our new owners.
So, that’s a little about me. I hope to get to know a little more about you. I take a lot of pride in the relationships I build with our new owners. We’re like a little Walnut Hill family here, and we invite you to join us.
